What went in planning?

We decided to make customize keychains to help people express themselves in fun and creative ways. Since we care about the enviornment, we chose to use air-dry clay instead of polymer clay, which contains plastic. Air-dry clay is safer and more eco-friendly. We sketched different design, picked colors we love, and made sure each keychain can show a personality. We love our product!!

The organization we are supporting

We decided to supprt Animal Welfare Society of New Jersey because our keychains are all animals. This organizations mission is to help the public by bridging the gap between the public, animal shelters, and animal control.

Why upcycling is important

For our product, we upcycled charms and metal keychains. The reason upcycling is important is because it minimilizes waste and helps conserve energy.

Procedure

1. Make spheres with clay
2. Sculpt the clay to make animals
3. Attach the clay to itself
4. Put the keychain in
5. Coat the keychain with glaze
